In a door-to-door interview, interviewers visit households to conduct face-to-face interviews about various topics, such as consumer preferences, opinions, and behaviors. An advantage of door-to-door survey is that it is designed to target residents of a specific region or community. By conducting a door-to-door survey, researchers can be sure to solicit responses/data from an isolated audience. Door-to-Door surveys are also critical for ensuring data collection from respondents who might be unlikely or unable to participate in other survey methodologies, such as surveys that are conducted online and delivered via email. Interviewers conduct interviews with respondents at their houses based on a prepared questionnaire. Each interview should take place within less than 40 minutes.
